Breakfast With Grandpa...

Jordan sure loves his Grandpa. He likes to sit by him on the couch and watch "cowboys" and this morning he climbed up in bed with him to eat breakfast...

Happy Birthday Morgan...

Tuesday September 22nd is Morgans 8th Birthday! We celebrated on Saturday with a pirate party. She wanted to have a treasure hunt, and the pirate theme went from there. We even had our very own pirate to gaurd the treasure...thanks Uncle Casey! We made all of the guests pirate hats and everyone got an eye patch, then we played games to win the pieces to the treasure map. I started to take pictures of them all dressed up, but I was a little overwhelmed by the 20 children that were there. (Keep in mind that 9 of them were cousins plus Morgan and Jordan.)

The Zoo...

Last Sunday we decided we needed to get out of the house, so we went to the zoo. The weather was perfect, a little overcast and cool. The kids really enjoyed the bird show and the train ride. I think over all their favorite animals were the monkeys and the new baby elephant....

In The Mountains...

My sister and her husband have some property in Argyle Canyon and they invited us up for the day on Sunday. We had dutch-oven ziti and cheese bread, it was delicious. My kids love to go up there, in fact Jordan calls it his favorite camping spot. We would have gone for the whole weekend but our camper is not registered (how sad is that :( we have not had it out once this year) And since I just had surgery, we thought a day trip would be better....

Wheelchair Buddies...

My father in law got quite a kick out of the fact that I needed to "borrow" his wheelchir. When I asked him if I could have the power chair, he just laughed and pointed at it, which I took to mean go ahead, take it....




I timed my surgery just right, since my in laws are here I have had access not only to the wheelchairs, but also to a shower chair, which has come in handy!!! My father in law is amused by me I guess, the other day I hobbled out to the deck on my crutches, sat down, let out a huge sigh, and said boy am I tired.....He thought that was sure funny!
