Gingerbread Fun....

Every year we put together a gingerbread house with the kids. I try to find a different kit each year. One year we did a train, and this year I found this house with Santa and his sleigh.....

Christmas Party At The Neighbors.....

Every year our neighbors have a Christmas Party and Santa comes. He sings Jingle Bells with the kids, and then if they have been good he gives them each a present.....

Morgan was one of the first kids to get her gift and sit on Santas lap, Jordan did not get called until almost last, he was patiently waiting his turn, but I think he was starting to get a little nervous....

Morgan got a squinkies bracelet and Jordan was very excited when he opened his nerf gun, since that is what he had just asked Santa for....

Gregs company Christmas party was in Vegas this year. We went down on Thursday and spent a few extra days. One night we took the limo down to Fremont Street, old town Vegas, it was so much fun!!!

We went to Toby Kieth's Bar at Harrahs and Greg rode the mechanical bull, it was good for a laugh...

The Polar Express....

There is a group of houses in Lindon that are all family, and they have this train set up through all of their yards. We went there two years ago with Jordans Pre-school class and learned all about trains. They told us that at Christmas time they do The Polar Express. I had heard about it from some friends so last year we tried to go but I guess the father had had a heart attack so they canceled for the year. It is free so lots of people go and I had heard that the lines are huge, so I went on line to make a reservation, They were already full with family and friends and people who knew someone who lived there....I was sad. Then for some reason I decided to check the web site one more time, and I guess they had alot more people who wanted to come so they were doing a lottery for reservations, so of course I entered, never thinking that I would win. they called right after Thanksgiving, I had been drawn...Yea!!! The kids loved it, and of course we got to go to the North Pole and visit with Santa.....

Lights On At Riverwoods.....

This was actually a few weeks ago, but I forgot to post it. We went to the "Lights on" ceremony at Riverwoods, they had music and entertainment, drawings, hot cider, Santa and free face painting.....

This was a fun way to start off the Christmas season, it may become a tradition.

There were Ice sculptures, some were finished like this first one, and some were in the process....

They had free carriage rides, and while we were standing in line to take ours, the carriage pulled up with a special guest....

By the time we got back from our ride , the line to see Santa was way too long. So that will be another visit and another post!
