Halloween Treats & Pumpkin Carving....

Last Sunday we went over to my parents house for a Halloween party and pumpkin carving. the kids wore their costumes, we ate chili, bread and yummy desserts like graveyard brownies, sugar cookies gobbed with candy corn, sprinkles and frosting, and warm apple crisp with whip cream for the adults. Then they took off their costumes and started gutting the pumpkins...

Jordan decided that He did not want to carve his, so he used a rub-on transfer...

Morgan wanted to draw a face with a marker first, then cut it out....

Kyle....

....So, I am NOT a photographer!! I like to take pictures and I have a really nice camera (that I am still learning to use) but I am not a photographer. So I was a little surprised, to say the least, when my sister asked me if I would take some "two year old" pictures of Kyle. But I have to say they turned out pretty dang cute. I was so excited about them that I had to post a few...

Morgan's Project....

My mom gave Morgan a Latch Hook for Christmas last year, she was so excited that she got started right away. She caught on right off and was pretty fast. She was determined that she was going to finish it over Christmas break, so determined that she bought another one with money from Greg's Grandma. This lasted about a week, and she got about 3/4 of the way done with it. Then occasionally she would get it out and work on it, but the newness had worn off and she had other things to do. Last week we bought latch hooks for the neighbor girls for their Birthdays, and Morgan got hers out to show them how to do it, and she decided that she was finally going to finish it. She worked on it for a few days and this is the finished product.
I told her I would find her a frame for it so we could hang it up in her room, so I went today to the new Hobby Lobby store, their frames were 50% off, what a cool store!!

Wacky Hair Day....

It is Red Ribbon Week at school this week. Today was wacky hair day, Morgan was concerned about how we were going to do her hair all night last night. Jordan could care less, in fact he did not want to do anything for wacky hair day, which was fine with me, it just always amazes me how different my kids are. Yesterday was wear red day, Jordan picked out a shirt with a tiny bit of red on it, Morgan was dressed in red form head to toe.

Halloween Preview.....

Our neighbors had a Halloween/Birthday party for their grand kids last weekend. Morgan and I went costume shopping while the boys went fishing. I have to admit it is kind of nice to be done with it, and they looked so cute in their costumes!!
