Christmas Eve....

Every year on Christmas Eve we have dinner at my mom and dads house. We eat, then play a game of bingo where everyone wins a prize. This year Morgan got scented nail polish, Jordan got a Wii game, Greg got a T-shirt and I got a scentsy burner. Then we exchange gifts with my siblings, we rotate families each year. Bill and Kim had our family this year. Greg got cologne, and I got the game Buzz Word, which is super fun!! They gave Morgan more nail polish and lots of lip gloss, she was in heaven!!

Jordan got a K'nex monster truck and this light up spinning top....

When we got home the kids put on their Christmas jammies...

This year Jordan asked if we could read The Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve. The kids took turns reading it for us...

We got the stockings all hung by the fire...

The kids got Santas treat all set out....

And of course we can't forget the bowl of sugar for the reindeer....

Then it was off to bed. They decided that they both wanted to sleep in Morgans room this year, and we could hear them talking down there for a long while. They were super excited!!

Winter Recital....

Morgan has been playing the guitar for about a year now, she is doing really well. Her teacher says she is a natural. She was able to pick it up pretty quick, which is awesome since neither Greg nor I are musically inclined:) She is learning to read music and she is able to teach herself songs. She got a Tayor Swift song book for Christmas that she was very excited about! The Christmas recital was short and sweet, each student had a five minute time slot to play three songs of thier choice. Morgan played Up On The House Tops, Jingle Bells, and I Saw Three Ships....

Christmas Cookies....

This year I opted not to buy a gingerbread house kit. The kids love to put them together, but I think it is a waste that we just end up throwing them away! We always make sugar cookies, but this year I bought candy gumdrops so they could decorate thier cookies kind of like the gingerbread houses, they didn't seem to mind not having the gingerbread houses...

Santa Party.....

Our neighbors have an annual Christmas Party with Santa, this year they asked Morgan to bring her guitar so that she could play jingle bells with Santa while the kids sang. She was super nervous, but she did a great job, and Santa even asked her to play another song, so she played Up On The House Tops. All the kids got to visit with Santa and open a present. Morgan got a Chinese Jump Rope and Jordan got a K'nex Monster Truck.....

Zoo Lights.....

This year we wanted to do something different, we have seen the lights in Spanish Fork numerous times, we have been to the lights at Thanksgiving point, Last year we went to the Lighting Up ceremony at Riverwoods, and Temple Square, so this year we finally convinced Greg that we should go to Zoo Lights. It was super fun!! It was cold, but the monkey house and the reptile building were open, so we could go in and get warmed up, plus the snack shop was open and serving hot cocoa:)

We went on coke night so we were able to use a buy one get one free coupon off of a bottle of coke, so it was only $10 for the four of us. And we got to have a picture with the coke bear while we were waiting for the gates to open.....

As we were walking into the zoo, Santa was walking by with one of his reindeer,on his way to Santa Station. Jordan said that it had to be Vixen, because he is the tallest reindeer....

So we followed him over and wrote letters to Santa while we waited our turn to see him....

The kids sat on his lap and read him thier letters, and then put them in the Santa Mail on our way out....

Our next stop was for some hot cocoa and a churro, then off the see the lights....
