The Living Planet Aquarium....

Last week my sister and I took the kids to the aquarium in Sandy...




So when I think "aquarium" I think fish, shark, things like that, well my kids favorite things were the frogs...





I got this awesome picture of the octopus, only after I took it did my nephew bother to inform me that we were not supposed to use a flash because it may harm its eyes, who knew? He said there was a sign but I didn't see it, oh well....



My kids thought it was cool that they could pet the sting rays...

Summer Fun...

We have been having an awesome summer break. My sisters and I decided that we should plan a weekly activity, and we have done a lot of fun things, but I have not posted any of them (I know I am a slacker.) So this is going to be a pretty long post, with lots of pictures.....sorry!

I took my kids to Krispy Creme a few weeks ago, they watched how the donuts are made, picked from the million different kinds, then we ate them outside, it was a good time, and delicious too!









We went up to the Gateway and let the kids play in the fountains. They had lots of fun, it is crazy how many people were there for just that reason.








I got a new camera (that's a whole different story) and I was playing around with my continuous shot and just happened to catch this awesome crash....





I got this slide for the kids, they have had lots of fun with it...










We went to the carnival at Strawberry Days. It was lots of fun, but VERY expensive! Of course the first stop was the Dragon Roller Coaster, my kids love it and would ride it all day!




Morgan and her cousins decided that they were big enough to ride the scrambler. They were very excited, they stood in line, got on the ride and were smiling from ear to ear until I asked them if they were ready. Morgan got this look on her face and started to cry "I think I'm going to throw up!" (Remember this is before the ride even started) I asked her if she wanted to get off and she said yes, then her cousins said they weren't going to ride if Morgan wasn't. Maybe next year!






And of course my favorite part,eating delicious strawberries and cream...




We had to get a new engine in our boat this year, so we have only had it out twice, but we had lots of fun! Jordan decided he wanted to ride the ski bob all by himself, as you can see by the look on his face he was a little nervous!

We also have played laser tag, went to Liberty Land, have been to the new Lindon pool a few times, went to seven peaks, have seen a few movies (Ice Age and Up), and we hiked up to the "Y". It has been fun, but I think I am ready for school to start!!!

Morgans New Blades...

Ever since we went to Classic Skating for Jordans Birthday party, Morgan has been saving her money to buy her very own roller blades. We found some at Toys R Us yesterday for only $25.00. And the best part...They are adjustable from size 1-4, so she should be able to wear them for a long while (unless she wears them out first.) She put them on in the car on the way home, and has had them on ever since. (well almost...she did take them off to sleep.) First thing this morning she was right back at it!

July Fourth...

We had a great Fourth of July! We went to the Freedom Festival, had a BBQ with friends, and went to the fireworks!





Morgan wanted me to paint our fingers and toes red, whtie, and blue. But we only had red nail polish. So we did red with star stickers and sparkles.



We went over to the Freedom Festival and they had some arts and crafts for the kids and free face painting...




We always go to the fireworks with the family...
