Gregs Dad...

This dear sweet man passed away this morning. And these two sweet kids are having a very hard time. For those that don't know...Gregs dad suffered a massive stroke in the recovery room after surgery, eight and a half years ago. His right side was paralyzed, he could not speak, and he was wheelchair bound. Last August his mom and dad moved to Utah from West Virginia, to be closer to Greg and I and the grandkids. In December he became restless and agitated at night, thay began to run tests to figure out what was wrong. They diagnosed him with Terminal Agitation. The hospice nurse told us that this came at the end stages of serious illnesses. They told us he had 4 months to live. Then his health began a rapid decline and they changed that prognosis to 2 weeks or less. Greg spent the last week and a half at his moms condo in Springville, he did not want his dad to be alone when he passed. We both stayed over there last night and he was surrounded by loved ones this morning when his time came. My kids are struggling, Jordan said that it hurt his heart when we told him. Morgan figured out what was going on last week and had a melt down, she doesn't understand why Grandpa had to go.

Valentines Day...

Finally...

Morgan is eight and a half, and she just lost her first baby tooth!! FINALLY! Her two lower front teeth have been loose FOREVER. She would wiggle them and push them forward with her tongue, but she would not let anyone else touch them. Last night she showed me that one of them was REALLY loose, then she started to cry and say that she did not like the taste of the blood. She wouldn't let Greg or I near her. Then she went downstairs and a while later she came up with her tooth in hand...





She was so excited that she had to call her Grandmas and all her cousins to tell them that she finally lost a tooth, and that she pulled it out all by herself. It was very cute to see her so happy. She was so excited for the tooth fairy to come that she couldn't go to sleep...

Jordans Blanket...

I had so much fun making Morgans rag quilt, that I decided to make one for Jordy. I found some cute sports fabrics that match his room perfectly....




He wrapped himself up in it and asked me if it was going to stay warm forever? (It had just come out of the dryer.) Then he told me how much he loves it....

Tubing At Soldier Hollow...

We took the kids to Soldier Hollow on Sunday. It was so much fun!! The kids were laughing and screaming all the way down the mountain. Morgan says to me "Mom, this is so much fun, why don't we come here every winter?" There is no better way to go tubing, you hook your tube to a lift and it pulls you back up to the top, it is awesome....

Another Project finished...

One of my good friends Amy makes these darling rag quilts. I decided that I needed to learn how. It is actually pretty easy but takes a little time. I got the fabric last week, got it cut out and once I got started I did not want to stop until it was finished....

Morgans New Room...

I decided that I needed a project, so I chose Morgans room. We used all of the same decor, just changed the paint and rearranged her furniture. I think it turned out pretty cute....
